One of the most underrated games of all time in my opinion. I played this on the Gamecube.

This game is on three platforms.

- Gamecube

- PS2

- Xbox

It sold 5.15 million across all three platforms, PS2 obviously carried the weight. The PS2 version alone sold 3.53 million, while the Gamecube and Xbox versions didn't even break one million.

This was a big part of childhood, along with Mario Kart: Double Dash, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros. Melee and much more Gamecube goodness. Sad to see it's forgotten. The metacritic score shocked me. It's below 75. Was not expecting that at all. This game is amazing. I played the game recently and while the graphics are dated, they aren't that bad. In fact, considering the year it released, 2002, it actually looks pretty damn good. The controls are a bit weird, but once you get used to them they're fine.

everything you wrote tells me why this was forgotten and not at all a classic.

shietttt, just got burned

I remember the game and it was a damn fine one. Managed o play in 04 or 05, with my cousin, and it was one of the first shooters that I have actually enjoyed on the PS2.

And yes, the graphic hold up nicely, and it was arguably the best 007 venture EA had Lovely blast from the past :D

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

It was the only Bond game I had when I was kid (no Nightfire or Everything or Nothing) and I loved it. Single and multiplayer were awesome. I've heard people say it's not very well liked compared to the other games, but I played a bit of Nightfire, and still like AUF more.

Hell yeah! I used to play this game a lot, also on GameCube. I remember the single player was decent(minus the awful driving levels) but the multiplayer was the best part by far. It was straight madness with everyone flying around with jetpacks or using grapples. I wouldn't call it a classic but it has kinda been forgotten. In fact I'm about to pop it in right now for a couple levels of pure nostalgia, thanks for the reminder!

I can't even remember playing it, it sold more on PS2 and yet it's forgotten, that's kinda telling.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I remember renting it on the GC back when it first came out, hoping it would bring back some of the magic of GoldenEye / Perfect Dark, but I came away disappointed with the experience.

Luckily Timesplitters 2 filled the GE/PD void for me shortly thereafter... in fact surpassing those games in many ways.

Edit:  007: Nightfire came out later that year on all 3 systems and was a much better game than Agent Under Fire IMHO.  I would call that one a classic before the one in the OP.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Yeah, this game was my favorite 4 splitscreen multiplayer at that gen. I had a blast with friends.

Nightfire is a better game...
