Completely and totally different genre.

Still a racing game though and the king of sales.

As far as console selling racing similators Sony is the king. If we're talking both in general...still Sony. Mario Kart is struggling to gather people with Mario Kart as we speak.

Please do not even bring that up about an Nintendo game. Nintendo milks their games way worse than Sony or MS ever did

Uncharted: 4th game since 2007 (fifth game coming soon)

God of War: 7 games since 2005

LittlebigPlanet: 5 games since 2008

Infamous: 3 games since 2009

Ratchet & Clank: 12 games since 2002 (13th game coming soon)

Gran Turismo: 15 games since 1997/1998 (counting secondary releases)

Sureeeeee...

Sony is ending Uncharted and God of War this gen. I'd love to see Nintendo have the balls to do that.

Not really Mario Kart 8 will sell over 10 million copies by the time its out of print and since the Wii U will probably not sell more then 20 million it will also be the game with the highest attachment rate out of any console that wasn't massively bundled.  Well I think it already has that title since its closing in on 50 percent attachment rate.

That is what they are saying now but I wouldn't be 100% sure about it.

Atleast Sony does something new every once in a while. Should we mention the 40 qazillion mario spinoffs?

Nintnedo games are still pretty much exactly the same as they were in the N64 days. Splatoon is seriously there first original game in ages. Nintendo makes great games but sooner or later they have got to do something different.

Actually no, thats whats going to happen. Sony's isn't Microsoft, they made more IP's last gen than the competition. The least bit of respect Sony deserves is that they are more interested (and more successful) in new IP's than everyone else. Yoshida isn't a big fan of rehashing franchises, so hopefully he'll get his wish with some bright new IP's this gen.

The Wii U isn't going to reach 20 million in its lifetime. It's going to sell worse than the GC (as I told everyone it would without third party). As for Mario Kart, the primary platform for it is the DS and even though the Wii is noted it was an anomaly in terms of audience that will not return until another fad occurs. When looking for sales that can be duplicated. The Playstation platform has a better chance than anyone this gen of reclaiming Europe with GT.

10 million copies of Mario Kart is funny as well lol. It has not even hit 5 yet, it may hit 6.5 but I do not think it will

Well nothing on the X1 or PS4 will come even close to the same attachment ratio that Mario Kart 8 will have by the time its out of print and the WiiU is no longer in production.  Also I highly doubt that GT7 will be a huge sales success a ton of people got turned of from the franchise with both GT5 and GT6.

As far as VGChartz is concerned the Wii U isn't even at 10 million consoles yet. Rest assured I love Nintendo products and will enjoy my homecoming.
