Although I agree with some of what you said, Bayonetta clearly is the better candidate simply because she needs more visibility. A chance, that's all she needs. Toad's had way too much promo, it's time for Bay to shine! A messy release with no promo, she didn't have a good run. She was forgotten and spat on.

Bayo had tons of promotion. There were Playboy Playmates dressing as her. Bayonetta made an appearance at the Nintendo store. It was advertised nonstop on Toonami and other teen shows. Nintendo did do lots to try to promote the game. They just didn't do the right hype campaign for it.

Toad on the other hand had next to no promotion outside of 1 commercial. Toad deserves the spot. He has been due since the N64 days. Plus, the model is already done for him and they could use any number of other animations from the other games to move him around. It would be quicker and easier for Toad than Bayonetta.

Not to diss Toad, but how many people will really want to play as him?  As in feel urged to play as him?  Although I suppose you could say "Well a lot of people wanted to play as Mega Man and now don't", although that's mostly because of his control scheme.  I don't think another character will have something like that. I'm almost certain more people are going to enjoy playing as either Bayonetta or Snake based on all they can offer.  Even if just based on looks alone, they stand out much more than Toad compared to the collective Nintendo roster.

There is a dedicated Toad fanbase. It has already been shown through Captain Toad sales even though there was next to no promotion for the game. I wouldn't be shocked at all if Toad became a favorite fighter.

The argument "too sexy" is stupid because ZZS. Also, NO NEED to have her half naked every wicked weave she pulls off......which would be BOSS Smash Attacks.

As a fan supporting her since April 2014, I know support was slowly growing. This ballot made a spike. I have new motovation in life!
