This better be just a example of Japan getting screwed getting the firs version because for all the great will Awakening built up Nintendo could tank the franchise's momentum with such a lame move.

the OP also stated that in JP they have two separate version plus a 3rd storyline DLC. in the NA direct it seems like one game with two storylines and nothing was mentioned as a 3rd storyline DLC. hope NA would also get that 3rd storyline as DLC too.

As one who got all the Awakening DLC and played the game for nearly 500 hours, I naturally wouldn't have a problem with this if it happens in the West too, but I do understand people's concerns and criticisms and I too would prefer it just being one game, but hey perhaps it's cause there's so much content the game can't all fit on one cartridge! /wishfulthinking

Wow... the cover arts are amazing. The direct got me super hyped for this game but its still too far away.

I am a bit confused on how these different versions will work though. I suppose they could have different recruitable characters and story on each one. Wich makes this be...2 fire emblem games? O.o
We' ll see how this will work, but i want to play the game. Dont want to pay double for it though. If its just one then it will become an amazing game with great replay value.

Now that i think about it... this is just like Shining Force 3! Old SEGA... they were always ahead of the curve.

Terrible idea, I absolutely hate it.

The official site shows you can get all 3 storylines and an artbook for about $90. But still....... Id rather pay no more than $70 for that bundle.
