If this is a joke, it's extremely well done. Too well done.

It's not well done at all, there's a typo that gives it all away. Plus there's nothing on the site. Nintendo wouldn't launch a site hours before their E3 Direct.

It's not exactly unheard of for professional websites created by Japanese companies to have Engrish-y typ-os. Though the guy on the last page saying it's not on Nintendo's servers is giving me doubts now.

And yeah, Nintendo wouldn't waste Retro's talents. They'd want a company skilled in the art of finely crafted arcade action titles, not slow paced exploration games and 2D platformers. Plenty of companies do those well. No company makes an action game like Platinum, though, at least not since SEGA stopped making Panzer Dragoon games. Platinum Games would be a perfect fit for Star Fox. :D

The logo even reacts to the gyro, I wonder how hard that would be to code.

100% Fake. Because the second tab circle on the side has "informations" and they clearly forgot to have a 8-bit Mario in the browser tab thingy.

Also, obviously going by the CONFIRMED FAKE German Direct rumour.

Wow....

The site took ages to load for me, but it looks legitimately Nintendo.
The one thing I will say is that one of the tabs to the side of the screen says "Informations", not information, which is a bit of a silly typo.

We know that Starfox is meant to be coming out at some point this year, I don't see why the game wouldn't have a Winter 2015 release date. Nintendo has partnered with Platinum Games before, although I don't know if this kind of a title is PG's style, unless it's going to have some different kinds of on foot gameplay, 3rd person sections.

TBH I think Retro would be more suited, but I guess we'll find out in a few hours time.

You'd waste Retro's talent on an on-rails shooter?

You can make anything sound worthless if you describe it like that!

This is Starfox, it's an awesome franchise!

Starfox isn't just an on rails shooter, it can have additional paths through levels, dogfighting sections, a load of levels, with lots of variety, on foot 3rd person gameplay.

Tonnes of variety in enemies.

Retro aren't any more talented than Platinum Games, both are awesome developers. All I was really saying is that I felt that Retro would be more suited to making a Starfox game.

TBH though Bayonetta 2 has a pretty awesome Starfox easter egg that kinda changes my mind, anyone that wants to see it click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8BVrLdFlAA

I don't think the typo gives it away, but it does raise suspicion. Anyway, can't we just wait for a few hours and see for ourselves if it's true or not?

It looks damn well-made, and It'll probably be a dream come true for fans :P

If April Fools, 8/10

I saw the typo but the effects used were cool. And the site is a totally different domain.

Their talent runs circles around Platinum Games.

Retro definitly have been critically going down.

Both developers are some of the best in the industry and to near-masterpeice standard. But PG* are still my favourite of all time ~October.
