OMG HE'S RIGHT!!!

And Miracle Max himself couldn't save Sega. There's mostly dead, and then there's all dead, and then there's SEGA dead, which is like "Say its name three times in the mirror to summon its ghost" dead.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

SquareEnix. And Legend/Quantum need to tone it down and stop being over-sensitive. And the MS quote doesn't have anything to do with the purpose of the thread which is purely hypothetical anyway, so quit bickering over it. :P

I would REEEAAALLLY like to see that MS quote too. I don't quite understand why MS would leave the console business if Sony did too. Why would they leave if their only power console competitor is gone? They would just get more market share and more money if that happened. Leaving would not make any sense at all.

CAN SOMEONE POST THE LINK TO THE QUOTE MS MADE ABOUT LEAVING THE RACE IF SONY DOES, IT WAS ABOUT A WEEK AGO OR SO

please anyone!

I remember it if thats any help, but this is still a hypothetical question anyway so it doesn't matter if no one can find it. I LOVE the idea of google, they are expanding into everything and have a well known brand too. The Googlegaga?

"..just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake"

I don't think it was a Microsoft exec, but an investor adviser saying that Microsoft's own investors may want them to leave the video game industry if that division doesn't start turning a profit soon.

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

I don't think that the PS3 is in any danger of losing, esp with the improvements in its online content and the further penetration of its blu-ray disks, but it might be in danger of falling to a meagre second when all is said and done.

I agree with vanguardian1 about it being a investor adviser making those comments, but I can't remember if he in turn was quoting a MS source.... Lets forget about sony or Microsoft...this thread is about possible new players for Next Gen.

I'm actually surprised that the 360 hasn't been profitable yet.

They're not going anywhere even if the PS3 ends up in 3rd place...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
