Out of curosity I remember you arguing with me a while back how resolution does not matter. Now it does?

OT: The collection, may be enough to get me to get an XBOne.

Does resolution matter? Yes and no. Any game enjoyable at 1080p is still great at 900p or even 720p. When the resolution gets lower than that though, it can be a nuisance. Hence, 720p is still sharp to the average gamer. While a resolution like 480p can be an eyesore on a HD TV.

Anyhow, that isn't really relevant to this discussion. Because when we're talking about 7th gen games with mostly untouched graphics on X1, in those cases 1080p/60 fps is pretty much expected. Frankly, I don't even care if they are below 1080p, 60 fps is more important.

Backtracking now lol

I'm confused by your response. How is that backtracking?

Collection. I just want the same 360 games in 1080p/60 fps.

If anything, maybe they can do some tweaks that make the games look a little more polished. Such as improved lighting, shadows, and other things like that.

Also, the best thing about a Gears collection would be multiplayer done the same way as MCC. Playlists that include all the games.

I'm asking you to elaborate how you believe I am backtracking. You clearly want attention and I'm giving you an opportunity to explain yourself.

I read my post, I don't see any backtracking. My stance is consistent, I'm saying 1080p isn't important. Its expected for a straight port, but not essential.

Want attention? All I said is you are contradicting what you argued with me up and down about a while back XD

You want it in 1080p/60 FPS which indicates that it does indeed make a difference and then I mention it and then you do not care.... Strange. I am done with this convo though. I do not want to get a war going on about this again. Honestly I should have messaged you instead. I apologize for throwing this thread off subject

Here's the thing, I'm not contradicting myself. You simply have a misunderstanding.

I WANT 1080p. I also WANT 60 fps in all my games as well. But I still play 30 fps games and I still play sub-1080p games.

Just because I WANT something doesn't mean its important. A lot of the X1 games I play are sub-1080p. A higher resolution would be nice, but its obviously not important because I still play and enjoy them.

If resolution really mattered to me, I would have chose the PS4 instead. However, in that scenario I would subject myself to what I find are inferior exlcusives. I will eventually get a PS4, but not because resolution matters. I will get it in hopes of playing some notable exclusives. I could also get a better PC if resolution really mattered to me.

Collection, if it was just one of the Gears games I wouldn't buy it. (mainly because it would cost 40 bucks which is too much for just a single game from almost 10 years ago.)

Or games from 5 years ago.

Proud to be a Californian.

Why would a one-game remaster be preferable over a re-release of four games?

I think it just depends.

I was content with the Halo Anniversary being released as a single game because it looked significantly better than the original OG Xbox release. Sony was releasing multi game bundles for the same price, but those had PS2 graphics.

Gears of War 1 doesn't really need a remaster because the 360 game still look fantastic. People will be content simply having the ability to play it at 1080p/60 fps on a console.

Now lets look at God of War 1 and 2. Those games still look pretty good, I'm playing them on Vita and they still impress me. However, those same graphics on PS4 would be disappointing. Those would need the Halo Anniversary treatment to make me consider getting them on PS4.
