No, but I wouldn't mind a traditional RPG styled Zelda game (or spinoff) with a level up system and customizable and upgradeable weapons. Man that would be sick.
Hyrule Warriors as some elements of an RPG, and 6 months later I'm still regularly enjoying the hell out of it.

The only answer. You can make it an 'adventure game' or an 'action RPG' but it's still an RPG. Not much else to say.
I am not sure. For me, I always thought that there are RPG elements in the games, but the games are more pertained towards puzzle-solving and adventure.

They are all action rpg's except Darksiders. Darksiders is like god of war or devil may cry. Those are action adventure. Zelda is no different than the souls series. It has the same elements. The creator of the zelda games even calls 'em a rpg.

I can play Uncharted and Tomb Raider to have the same experience, when I play Darksiders and Zelda, I know which game is trying to be something.
In a broad sense, I guess it kinda is. You play as a character, and taking quests is part of the game. You`re also playing in a fantasy setting. It doesn`t have all the elements of one, whether table top or game RPGs, but I suppose it does a bit? I`d go with more Adventure myself.

Yes, but in Souls and Darksiders games you level up stuff. That's the key here , actually, the majority of RPGs (if I'm not mistaken) put a lot of focus in leveling up stuff. Zelda games do this as well, but the real emphasis is in puzzles, exploration and combat). These elements combined result in a very different experience that RPGs usually offer.
My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

An action adventure game, with well made puzzles and dungeons. Skyward sword and zelda 2 have some rpg elements like upgrades. Zelda is not a typical action adventure game tho, that's why there are "games like zelda" |
Well said.
So far I have not yet encountered a single nonsensicel reply of yours. If I see a thread and read your reply there is nothing for me to add lol (cool and sad at the same)
You're a good addition to the site.

I consider it an Action Adventure game with RPG elements and with puzzle elements... although most of the puzzles are environmental puzzles so they probably can be categorized under the Adventure part...
