Forums - Gaming - Metacritic Removing 0/10 spam from Bloodborne

I hope they also deleting the 10/10 troll scores then.

Both sides of the extreme use to balance each other out anyway and gave as a true indication of what like minded people thought of the game.

I'd be more impressed if they did the same for the attention-seeking 'professional' reviewers.

To be honest, seeing all these 0/10 saying "Too linear and handholding, cinematic isn't good" and the "durrrr bring it to PC it's not on PC so 0/10" (and yes, there were quite a few), I would say it makes sense. Let's just hope there won't be any abusive removals.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

I tend to trust user scores more. I mean, most professional reviews gave Final Fantasy XIII a favorable review (probably to stay in SE's good graces), yet that is the one game that completely destroyed the franchise (the PS3 version of XIII has an 83 metacritic from pros!). Also, The Order 1886. While many sites are giving it a low score that it seemingly deserves, many seem to have been paid to give an overly high score. While many users at both ends of the scale may be trolls, I still think user scores more accurately portray the quality of a game.

Still the same problem :S Now it's just "Only if the game deserves a 7/10".

I guess... hence why I said 7+/10 .

I'm not saying that they shouldn't remove 0/10 scores, but am just pointing out that extremes tend to balance out, resulting in a good average (generally)

It still doesn't balance out. If you have 2 extremes of 0 and 10 and 1 legitimate score of 9, that results in 6.3 which is not right.

FFXIII also has a favourable user score.

Bloodborne is just that good

Send a Friend Request On PSN :P

I never pay attention to userscore anyway. Even those who give it 10/10 are extremely bias most of the time.

But if the game is actually good, there will be far more people that rate it 8-10 than the trolls that give it 0.

It's fine to remove the 0/10 but User scores isn't all that important..

Amazon should follow suit. Their review section is disgusting.
