Forums - Gaming - Battlefield Hardline Looks to be a Flop....

I have no idea if this game is good or not but since it was announced it just felt average, uninspired. If it sells bad, it's not surprising.

The end of the first person shooter dominance as we know it. Or maybe it's just not an appealing game for many, but hey a guy can dream.

For a comparation, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare on XBO the first weekend was 1.6M... LOOOOOOOOOL

I'm pretty sure that was the amount of people on the leaderboards.

Oh and although it is most likely inconsequential, does the site account for those playing story mode?

Who buys an FPS game for the story mode?

Me....

Well sometimes I do =P, I like some SciFi shooters like Halo/Killzone for their story and maybe some Deadspace but I hardly play Borderlands for theirs and just enjoy shooting the crap out of anything that moves.

Haven't played a COD game in a long time since 2010 though, Blops was the last I played which was good at the time for me in terms of story (Liked the sleeper agent trope).

OT: I always thought that this wouldn't be as popular as the likes of BF4, it took EA a while to update that game which should have been before release or a few days after which ended up being weeks and months, the game is more like it;s trying to be a silly version of Payday but not going all the way.

Can't say I'm fond of the game since I haven't been into BF since Bad Company 2, I disliked 3's campaign and the multiplayer just wasn't the same with less destruction going on and the issues that had online too.

I just wish we had more scifi/fantasy shooters than the gun ho military one's, we've had plenty modern military shooters the past 5-8 years now, I feel it;s about time to give shooters in other genres a try at it.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I am not suprised at all.

I only have one friend who has the game, and that's only because his parents got it for him as a birthday gift.

Looks like Jim was right, if this is a big flop then that's all EA needs as an excuse to shut down Visceral. (Please bear the smug intro, he makes good points later)

Good the more FPS games that don't sell well the higher the chance other non-FPS projects get greenlit.

CoD, Halo, Destiny, and BF(non spinoffs) are more than enough FPS games. Give us some AAA PLATFORMERS!!!!!

Theres more platformers than fps's around, you must be looking on the wrong platforms.

ok. Point me where I can find a good AAA Platformer. I think 3D Mario World is the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

Do you have a source for this?

Hard to tell how bad it really is doing what with different timezones, story mode players and not everyone playing it constantly (especially if the game is bad, people are gonna put it down quicker). It's not looking great, but I wouldnt pronouce it a flop yet.

hoggin' all the action, I see...
