@thinkman FFX10 sphere grid was kinda casual. there was no skill involved. its pretty much grinding so you can complete the grid lol.

Somebody played the inferior US version =P

Id also like control of other characters which they used to have as seen in earlier trailers

May I ask why though?? I mean it would be like playing Noctis minus all the cool abilities. Prompto used to be cool solely because he could play like a 3rd person shooter to shoot enemy weakpoints but thats about it.

I'm enjoying the demo alot but I'm worried about the level of customization options in the game. It seems like it's taken a casual approah, where is the equivalent sphere grid or the gambit board? And I'm not really a fan of leveling up only when you go to the camp.

What's everyone's thoughts on this?

The gambit board (i.e. AI advice, strategy/settings, etc) is in the full version of the game. They left party controls out of the demo.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

It was meant to be like kingdom of hearts.

It's fine the way it is to me.

You don't get to control the party, Just noctis.

I didn't say you could directly control them, but give them directions. Much like gambits in FF12.

This is something I'm scared about with literally every square enix release.

It's a demo and they removed A TON of gameplay features. Things like manual weapon switching, dodge rolling, magic, aerial combat and free running/climbing on monsters are not present in the demo. Also  customizing your characters is also not present in the demo plus the gambit system for AI control.
