Just pasting in some information for an eventual transition to the OP:

Nintendo Account information:

The following is from January 2014

"This is also a plan for the future, but we are going to provide our membership service benefits in other real-life facilities such as theme parks, movie theaters and retail outlets," he said.

"The theme of “health.” Of course, defining a new entertainment business that seeks to improve QOL creates various possibilities for the future such as “learning” and “lifestyle,” but it is our intention to take “health” as our first step.

Please note, however, that rather than simply setting health as our theme, Nintendo will also try to expand it in a new blue ocean."

"Currently, we can only provide two form factors because if we had three or four different architectures, we would face serious shortages of software on every platform. To cite a specific case, Apple is able to release smart devices with various form factors one after another because there is one way of programming adopted by all platforms. Apple has a common platform called iOS. Another example is Android. Though there are various models, Android does not face software shortages because there is one common way of programming on the Android platform that works with various models. The point is, Nintendo platforms should be like those two examples. Whether we will ultimately need just one device will be determined by what consumers demand in the future, and that is not something we know at the moment. However, we are hoping to change and correct the situation in which we develop games for different platforms individually and sometimes disappoint consumers with game shortages as we attempt to move from one platform to another, and we believe that we will be able to deliver tangible results in the future."

So this is the new/old Official NX thread?

Ok, count me in.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Mark my word: it's going to be a SoC that gets sold for different device manufacturers to be used in different smart devices. Nintendo would still sell the games and peripherals.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Tagging this for now.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I don't know if anybody said that already but i think this would be the best scenario for NX reveal:

2016 They release a handheld capable to do wii u graphics at a lower resolution, so all the games that will release to wii u will be ported to the Nx, like the new zelda, a possibly new metroid and animal crossing. So the Wii U owners would be happy and NX would have a massive release with a new pokemon plus the wii u ports. 2017 after a constant release of games exclusively to NX, they release the home console part of the NX (capable to do wii u graphics at a bigger resolution) with a new mario 3d adventure and pikimin 4 (also NX exclusives).

Features:

The NX(hc) and NX(hh) will have the same OS, so a NX game can be played on both devices in their settings respectively

The NX(hh) can be synchronized with the NX(hc), working like a wii u gamepad

Edit: The Name: Nintendo GameFusion

What would be the point in releasing the homeconsole device one year later if it can play the same handheld games?

Same games, but different ways of play.

Every game would have a exclusive mode that will explore the capabilities of the type of device that you are playing, similar to Smash bros for 3DS/Wii U.

And better graphics

That still doesn't explain why it has to be released one year later.

Today I'm in the proper mood to share this:

AMD CHIP, CODENAMED: MAGNUM, WITH FPGA PROTOTYPE BOARD FOR DTV SPOTTED IN SHIPPING MANIFEST ON ZAUBA

http://wccftech.com/amd-magnum-fpga-prototype-dtv-shipping-manifest/

Here are two little extracts from the article:

"I wasn’t able to find anything on the “AMD Magnum” code name mentioned but the pricing suggests that this is a pretty high end product. There are a couple of explanations for this listing and I would be mentioning the most probable. It is possible that AMD is working on an Nvidia Shield equivalent device, an all in one home entertainment top box if you will, which which would explain the use of the DTV keyword as well as the pricing."

"The new Magnum codename would suggest that this is a brand new design from AMD – something for next generation consoles? or the Wii?"

Have fun

The article talks about pricing without ever claiming what the price is

The price is in the shipping manifest:

The two... units (I think?) cost 92,405 INR (Indian Rupees) which equal to a little less than 1,300 €.

But remember that those are prototypes, so the final product will be a lot cheaper.
