Forums - Gaming - Sony and Nintendo need to announce something big at E3

Yeah I think Sony Santa Monica and Guerrilla Games will be announcing and showing clips of whatever they're working on for 2016. In terms of AAA exclusives that's probably enough for them to show. They will of course truck out their 3rd parties with whom they have an exclusive marketing deal, which I imagine will include Destiny 2 for 2016.

I expect Sony will replace Uncharted 4 with something, and that will be the "big" announcement for holiday 2015, which will be somewhat underwhelming. But what can you do when your left holding your dick but pretend that it's actually a frankfurter?

Morpheus hype of course, that's for 2016 and there will be a slew of launch titles announced for that, most of which will end up being terribly lame. But there will be a bunch of Morpheus compatible games in 2016 and those will be pretty decent.

Seems to me like Sony has plenty to talk about.

The race doesn't stop when another gen starts.

Catching up to the winner years after the finish line isn't winning.

Well, it's not the winner if they catch up to it.

It is the 8th gen now. Not the 7th. That race has been run.

Why are you so afraid of the Wii being passed?

So the ps2 onyl sold 100 million units by that logic? The race ends when the last consoel from that generation is sold.

How much money do you think Sony made of the PS3?

PS3 is by far the biggest loser of the seventh generation.

Why are you so afraid of the idea that Playstation didn't win every gen it was in? A console being kept on life support long after becoming irrelevant doesn't consitute the industry still being stuck in that console's generation. The 5th gen did not end in 2004, the 6th gen did not end in 2013.

If you want to continue this discussion though, you should make a thread about it. This is veering far off topic.

None of the gens were close races so not comparable.

And yet it's still alive while the Wii died a while ago.

Honestly, both could skip E3 and only people on gaming forums would notice. It's just a gaming expo, and there are lots of those, some bigger than E3. Nintendo and Sony can announce whatever they want whenever they want.
