That is such a pretentious name it would play very badly among the general consumer.

Its probably not gonna be called the NX, the N64 was known as the Ultra 64, GC had some weird dolphin name, Wii was called the revolution.
I realise it's just a code name but Nintendo's code names typically do have some significance.
Nintendo NeXt seems obvious, Nintendo Cross also for the fusion connotation. X, as in unknown, is also possible but is apparently less commonly used in the east.
For those saying it's the 10th Nintendo console, I'm curious how are you arriving at that?
