I think this game is not for everybody due to turn-based strategy genre. Mixed opinion i assume.

The Polygon reviewer didn't finish the game, unbelieveable...

One of the most evident cases of unprofessional gaming 'journalism' I've ever seen.

Yeah, I understand the score (although I think certain scores are a tad ridiculous), but I don't mind. From everything I've read, the criticisms don't bother me past the point of minor annoyance, so I'll be picking it up when I get a chance. The gameplay is just so killer...

It had a 75 before polygon gave it a 3.5

European reviews will take the score up.

3/4 of the scores are +8

Less than 2/3 are 8 and above, not 3/4.

Regardless, there's really not much of a difference between 71 and 75, at least outside of the bizarre quality line people draw between yellow and green scores.

LOL xD

I don't know what to say. He actually turned off then posted his complain. Should've been switched to another staff that someone can handle it? :S

My bad,  nearly 2/3,

10 scores between 35 - 79

15 scores between 80 - 90

When a game has a review score in the low 70's it tells me a few things.

1. The game probably doesn't have bugs or huge faults which will detract too much from the desired experience presented.

2. It is a game that some people like a lot and other people don't like much at all.

So yeah, I don't mind a score in the 70's for a game I know will be love/hate depending on the reviewers value placed on the gameplay. Anything lower, and I read for the objective faults (bugs, poor controls, etc.) Anything more and I'll consider a game in a genre which I'm not a big fan of, but might want to get into.

Honestly. You've lost the right to review a game when you refused to finish it. It's that simple.

I wonder how people would feel if I posted a lengthy review criticizing the Harry Potter films even though I've only seen half of one?

Around what I expected. Not great, but not bad either. 70 still is pretty good.
