Like kowan said, the ps4 version got an 86 on metacritic.

The scores are so spread, the reviewers might as well have taken a wide angle shotgun and shot the scoreboard, and take out whatever figures they hit.

It's mostly positive actually. 26 positive scores, 6 mixed and 2 negative reviews for the Ps4 version.

If we count the reviews for the Xbox 1 version(4 reviews, 3 positive and 1 mixed) then it will be

29 positive (scores ranging from 75-90)

7 mixed (scores ranging from 50 - 70)

2 negative (40 and 45)

I didn't say FFXIV:ARR was a terrible game. Scoring in the high 70s doesn't make a game terrible, but its not befitting of a series like Final Fantasy. And the other versions in the 80s show that there is a great possibility for it to return to its legendary status

Yeah but the 78 score for the Ps3 version, again, is primarily because of how the Ps3 could not handle the game. It is a PC game aferall so it's best to use the definitive versions as basis for a game's quality.

Like for example, we shouldn't use the Vita version of Borderlands 2 to judge Borderlands 2 as a whole.

A 76 meta with 2 really bad score driving it down. But not a bunch off the walls 10s to offset them. Game would be an 80 is not for the click bait. I refuse to read their reviews because I would be doing exactly what they intended.

For instance if we applied my 20 up 20 down window to this game (only counting scores 56-96 in this case), we would lose the 40, 45, and 50 score, but since no gave this 10s we would lose no positive reviews. Click bate would be gone. It takes 5x 90 score to offset a since 40 to reach over an 80 meta. If 5 people say the game is 90 and 1 says 40 would not agree the game is close to a 90?

The OP needs to be outdated as well as the headline. The 67 score is long gone and will not be going back anymore.

Yea I was betting it would land a metascore of ~80. They all seem to say the same thing: Good game, but obviously a port.

looks like another game where the average user score could end up higher than the average review score.
