Forums - Microsoft - When Microsoft used to have its own Bloodborne on the Original Xbox

Should Microsoft fund an Otogi 3 made by From Software exclusively for Xbox One?

yes 32 45.07%

no 39 54.93%

Total:71

If MS helps fund the game like they have done so much for third party development then how would it be a bad idea. The more there are, the more people are likely to get the system if that is what they enjoy.

The majority do not own just one console.

What happened to the Ninja Gaiden games. Didn't the main man leave team ninja?

I'm not sure a niche Japanese title would work well on Xbox. If anything multiplatform would be the way to go but an exclusive i'm not so sure about.

they better do because i wont buy their console without any japanese exclsuives

Maybe X1 just isn't for you.

Microsoft already tried to appeal to that market and it wasn't worthwhile. Nintendo and Sony have you covered.

Does MS own the IP or did they just fund the game? An Otogi 1+2 remake would be nice :).

I've been saying that they should reboot this series for a while now if Phantom Dust can get a reboot then this should aswell, both had low sales but were considered great games.
The only problem is that MS don't own the IP but I doubt that it would cost much to get it back from Sega.

Itagaki the main guy behing Ninja Gaiden 1&2 and the Dead or Alive series left Team Ninja because Tecmo owed him bonus money that they never paid him, he sued them and started his own studio Valhalla Games and some key members left with him and that is why Ninja Gaiden 3 sucked ass.

No, because exclusivity is bullshit.

Yeah, the original Xbox had a lot of great exclusives which didn't get too much attention.. I find it funny because that console was always criticised for not having exclusives!

I remember playing Otogi 1 & 2. It was the craziest graphics I had seen that gen with all the destruction and smooth frame rate. However, it didn't feel like a Bloodborne or Souls game as it was easy and more pick up and play hack and slash that was super enjoyable cuz you could break everything in sight.

That don't mean I wouldn't want a sequel, I would love one, but for it to be successful in think it may need to be released on the PS4 to or it may have a grim future.

It was though, it helped other markets to grow aswell like Europe.
