So is this an NPD thread or a ''Is the New 3DS a separate handheld from the 3DS or not'' thread?

Correct I'd say. Now somone do some friggin' digging and find out what 3DSXL Aug 2012 * 1.3 =?? and we will have the minimum number for PS4 NPD!!! Since we know N3DS contributed the largest share of 3DS sales for the month, and PS4 claimed "top hardware", it means 3DS>PS4>N3DS.

Their relative positions on NPD and VGC.

The Order is ahead of both on VGC (NBA not even on the list), but they are both several spots ahead on NPD.

Allowing for a chance that the Order is spot on, those other two, and several more, are then severely undertracked.

So, nothing to do with actual numbers but position in the chart?

nintendo say that is the same hardware.
so is the same hardware.

they are trying to make everybody believe that they are not just to ps4 outsell 3ds.
But let 3ds win this time, is the last time it will happen.

Well this is not helpful.

3DS family > PS4
PS4 > XBO

N3DS ? XBO


I'm starting to worry we don't find PS4 exact numbers this time. NPD must be tracking 3DS/N3DS seperately, which would make all press statements accurate.
