Show me proof of a smear campaign.
"It's a smear campaign."
"Critics are more harsher this generation."
"PS4 games have higher standards."
"Metacritic is now irrelevent."
What's next?
"It's not made by Naughty Dogs, it doesn't count."
Proud to be a Californian.

There was no smear campaign. A smear campaign is a systematic, coordinated effort to ruin a reputation through slander and vilification. There's no real evidence that reviewers or the media were attempting to ruin the game's reputation, it simply didn't meet the criteria by which they assess games. This persecution complex in regards to Sony games has become absurd. There is no conspiracy, Sony just aren't outputting games that measure up to reviewer's standards. |
How did a game that was as bad as the media said sell almost 750,000 copies? It was a new IP and limited advertising. Why does 90% of gamers love the game? How did the Order get 2/10 reviews when it was broken and many games before it were? Why was it too linear back in the summer and 10 websites published it? Why did a week before release Youtube videos say the game was five hours long and multiple websites publish it with no mention of it being a speedrun? You can go to Youtube right now and walk walkthroughs. THEY ARE ALL 8-10 HOURS. Etc, etc, etc
Sounds like a smear campaign to me.
Gamer_of_the_Year i have and the game is average at best but entertaining to play. The points mentioned from reviewers are quite correct. The Ai itself were braindead as there were there jsut to be shot (bullet sponges) and the only difficulty the game ever pose was the shotgun guys who were given shit loads of armor , so they can keep walking thorugh all your bullets. The only i agree with you are the graphics. The best looking ps4 at the moment.
Good to see it sold decently. Hoepfully they change alot for the sequel and focuses more on gameplay and smarter Ai and longer game
You know, some of Nintendo's games have been put through the ringer despite actually quality recently, yet I haven't seen anyone saying that there's a conspiracy. Same for the XBO. Yeah, the harsh reviews are just towards PS4 games. You nailed it.
I wonder how I would be perceived by the people of this site if I made a thread saying Kirby was put through a smear campaign.

I don't have the PSN store. Either way, it's averaging out around the mediocre area lol. I don't see why that's that big of a deal. So it's an average game, whatever.
Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Got a source for that number?
The game did not meet the bar set by most reviewers, so as a result it was scored low, simple as that. And the runtime thing happens with heaps of games these days.
Sales will largely be due to hardcore Sony fans.

Don't worry about not having the PSN store. Average user review numbers on the PSN store and XBOX marketplace are largely useless to a consumer. For example, The Witcher 3 has not even come out yet and it has 12,000 reviews putting it at 4.5/5. LOL this game has already been forgotten about. By the time Bloodborne comes out, The Order will probably be heavily discounted at most b&m stores.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
