Forums - Microsoft - Ori and the Blind Forest Reviews

I wouldn't call ori a indie game at all, Microsoft payed a lot of the development.

Even made the ost go to a orchestra, had first party guys working with moon... Owns the ip as mentioned.

The guys working at moon are AAA devs all over the world, it isn't like they met over 4 chan and decided to do a game.

Around the Network

Don't really have much money right now, but great to hear good things about it, so I'll likely pick it up someday.

Looked flawless from the beginning. I wonder if it will stay exclusive?

Owned by Microsoft. Will stay on PC and Xbox

Looks fantastic!

I'll definitely get it, but probably not at launch.

Around the Network

I predicted an 89 on Ori and it's currently on 89, but hopefully I might underestimated the game and score higher

Now Xbox gamers are interested in indies

Yes. Never before because they never were big on 360. Right? I don't know what this has to do with the thread in any way, to be honest.

The Xbox empire thread was full with comments with people saying they not care indies though.

They don't have to care about it. But indies were present and pretty big on 360 so there is a tradition that indies are on Xbox. It was only funny because indies got big talk because of PS4- I didn't hear anything from the "Sony side" about indies in PS3 times. But of course that is just usual behaviour.

"find things the other side doesn't have" -> "hype it to infinity to paint a better picture of your preferred system". No matter if you actually buy indie-games or not, of course. Because it's better! (tm)

Full of comments dismissing indies? You go there often, you should know that Arcade games (small downloadable games) are probably the most revered games in the Xbox empire. Battleblock Theater, Shadow Complex, Fuzion Frenzy, Geometry Wars, State of Decay, Max: TCB, etc... are some of the thread's favorite.

There are handful of people that don't like generic indie games, like the latest pixelated trends. However, the latest ID@Xbox games reveals have been received with great enthusiasm.

And just to let you know, indies were a thing on Xbox since 2004 on original Xbox. When Popcap was still independent.

Awesome scores, but I already knew that this game will be mine (sooner of later... whenever I can fix my laptop @_@).

Greatly looking forward to playing this awesome game!
