We've seen the reintroduction of it on the New 3ds, we've seen it make its way to the Wii U through a bundled rerelease with Smash Bros for Wii U. We've seen our old gamecube controllers become usable through an adaptor for the Wii U. The question is, would Nintendo fans like to see a full fledged comeback of the C Stick, or do you prefer the controller layout of the gamepad/procontroller?

Nintendo is the only manufacturer that can leave certain buttons to die only to reintroduce them in a later generation.

Who actually likes to have different sized pair of analog sticks?

The C-stick is pretty much only preferred in cases where you need to make several quick/sudden moves like in Smash Brothers. It isn't very good for precise movement, as it wasn't designed with FPS games and the likes in mind. (Which is why it was never used to control the aiming in Metroid Prime.)

Making it the standard design would not make much sense.

Who likes controlling the camera with a mouse? Or who likes playing Call Of Duty with motion controls? They're out there.

But the c stick for the new 3DS will control all of that. Could it just need some minor tweeks?

I never liked the C-Stick. I'd rather have the C-Buttons from the N64 controller back.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Circle Pads aren't very good for precise movement either and the 3DS hardware's design required that the C-stick was designed in its current, awkward way.

Ideally, for the sake of pleasing the broadest possible audience and optimizing performance for as many video game genres as possible, both sticks would look the same.

This is something I have yet to explore 1st hand. I don't have a new 3ds (YET) but will when Xenoblade Chronicles drops. But I don't see too many people complaining about the design either, which is a good sign.

Im confuesd, are you asking if I want a garbage 2nd stick or are you asking if I want the Xbox layout for sticks??

Edit: It doesnt matter the answer is no either way =P

No, it was always a half-arsed, shitty excuse for a second analogue stick, and that holds true for the one on the New 3DS too.
