Both. Variety is always the best choice!

3rd person in every single scenario.

1st person is disorienting and gives me simulation sickness.

Big part of why never got into FPSs (Portal is exception). I didn't enjoy Elder Scrolls until 3rd person was offered. Mirror's Edge would have been 1000x more fun for me with third person mode.

I'm the first to choose 1st person? What's wrong with you people! 3rd person is far less immersive and has an idiot blocking part of your view all the time. 3rd person is cheating as well with the camera looking around corners and over walls. It's a poor substitute for the small field of view and slow turn rate of console games.

It all depends on the game/scenario.

But overall i'd probably lean more towards 3rd person as there's a wider variety of what your character can do in third person than in first person.

My favourite Shooter is Far Cry, but i' go with TPS.

Gears/Vanquish/Dark.S > Battlefield/CoD/Halo

Third person, since I don't get dizzy as easily and the field of view is larger

I think I prefer 1st person but on some games 3rd person..

Some games work better in first person view and others in third person view but overall my preference is first person ...

3rd person for the most part. Surprisingly, I liked the multiplayer in ME 3. I like being able to see my character.

I'm playing Metroid Prime on my Wii U currently and I love it to death. It's mostly adventure but it's MOTION CONTROLS. If Halo was motion controls, I'd love that as well. Motion is the best for first person shooters in my opinion. Makes it feel almost real. Otherwise, it's just not idk. Just doesn't click for me personally.
