Regardless of which feature is the selling point for an individual, u have to pay a certain amount to get those games thus they aren't free.

But they are free as long as you pay, and since its required for multiplayer you have to subscribe to it sooner or later at one point to get the full ps4 experience

"They are free as long as you pay"

That's not a contradiction to you?

That still doesn't make it free, facts are facts, if u give someone money for a service that means it's not free. PS+ started out without online so at its core it's a service that let's u download certain games for a fee, they later decided to charge for online and include it with PS+. Nobody says PS4 online is free because eventually u have to get PS+ to download the games it offers.

Is that even a question? Free online of course.
Making paid online the ONLY choice is dumb and it's hard for me to think anyone would defend it. Subscription services should be an optional.

I'm doubtful I'd EVER pay to play online. Online gaming is very limited habit of mine, and would never be worth $50/month, no matter how many games I get. How often is it that I'd actually get a game I really wanted to play? I'd much rather have free and stable connection with a similar service as Netflix, but for gaming where you pay $10/month and can play 100's of games

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I don't subscribe to PS+, they offer nothing of interest to me.

I don't want to pay in advance to participate in a random game lottery every month, I rather buy a game I'm interested in for that money.
And I don't pay for online because I don't play multiplayer games, and I wouldn't play them even if the online were free.

Free without a doubt. Just look at jow amazing steam is

The only reason I am OK with PS Plus is because of the free games. You tend to get your 50 dollars worth after a few months.

You get 50$ worth in a month. You worded this terribly though "the only reason I am ok with PS Plus is because of the free games"

50$ for 700$ in content per year...... Its a 100% no brainer

Wow, this thread is totally not loaded with any agenda.

I subscribed to PS+ for the games. 30€ for a year of tons of games I wouldn't have bought otherwise but am now able to at least try out. I think it's great. I don't use online multiplayer though.

PS Plus is an amazing deal no matter how you slice it. I got 30$ worth of games I wanted to buy last month. (actually over that if I want to count Thief PS3). Every single person I know who is a PS Gamer loves the service. I actually have an Xbox friend who complains every month how PS Plus is amazing and they wish MS would do better to compete with it.

He clearly doesn't care how many titles are given for free each year. Remember, it's easy to give away shit for free. I'm not saying those 72 games are bad, but I could see why people wouldn't be interested in them. And for the average gamer (people not on this site), these free games are basically worthless. The average gamer would certainly prefer a free service.

The only thing clear is "he didn't like most the games"

It's easy to give away shit for free. It's hard to sell it to people year after year though.

It's also easier to say you don't like something without knowing what it is or trying it. I've played many games I never would otherwise without getting then on plus.

As for your assessments on "average gamers" the average gamer doesn't even play on consoles do what's the point bringing then in? If your point was that most console gamers preferred to not pay for plus. That's true and considering that the number of people paying increased tremendously after the launch of the ps4. More people cared about online than the free games. I am in the minority of people who got the service at all and especially for my reasons, but I think it's more from people's lack of awareness than from the quality of the games.

I'm very confused. When I say the average gamer, I am talking about the average console gamer. The average console gamer only plays the few AAA titles that come out each year and do not generally have the time nor the interest to play the smaller games offered for "free" from the subscription service.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

In general, no.... but it really depends on what services I will get. Free games, better online, etc. would make me consider it and of course the price.
