Is it fair to say that Sonic Boom essentially killed Atlus?

I doubt Sega is done with consoles as a whole. I predict they will continue to do fairly big budget games for the Japanese market. For the west, perhaps they'll continue to do low budget digital releases and ports.
Frankly, that's all long time Sega fans want from them. I would take another Sonic 4 over another big budget piece of crap like Sonic Boom.

I wouldn't worry about Atlus unless Persona 5 is a flop.
Sega is doing something with Atlus, they're atleast pretending they aren't involved with them. That's basically what MS is doing with Mojang and its working well.

It's concerning but not all doom and gloom yet. They have a lot of profitable properties so hopefully they continue with them or sell them on to someone who will.
Off the top of my head:
Persona,
Yakuzo,
Alien,
Sonic,
Football manager,
Bayonetta,
Shenmue,
Valkyria Chronicles,
Phantasy Star,
Virtua Tennis,
Mortal Combat,
Vanquish,
and i'm sure a good few more. Many of those games can still make a lot of money on consoles and handhelds so if they are done with any i hope they sell them on.
That's too bad. Every so often they had a console game worth playing.
Just bring over Phantasy Star Nova and Yakuza 0 before you bail on us Sega. Thanks.
Let's look on the bright side.
The sooner Sega decides to quit console gaming, the sooner they'll lose money when they realize how unstable that market is. The sooner their shareholders convince them to focus only on those weird pinball slot machines, and ultimately the sooner they sell their licenses. Sell Sonic to Nintendo, since they already use him in a few titles, Shenmue to Yu Suziki, cause I don't think anyone else would really want it, Bayonetta to Platinum themselves or Nintendo.
