In an advertisement folder of Bart Smit, a big toy retail chain it was anounced that the X360 prices are dropped enormously.

The Arcade drops € 80,- ($ 105) to a retail price of € 199,95, making it € 50,- cheaper than Wii.

The Premium drops to € 299,95 and the Elite will be € 399,95 making it exactly the same price as the 40Gb PS3.

I hate un-announced price-drops, at least make it universal per-region.

There's no advantage in having radically different prices inside the European Union, since you can always import stuff from other countries at no cost other than postage fees.

Any difference in price between the Netherlands and the UK will therefore be very small (I'd say 20 € at most).

 The question is what they take the exchange rate as. It is currently £250 (versus 350€) for the 360 premium, £300 for 40GB (400€), and £180 for the Wii (250€)

I can't wait to see the price drop in the US. It will probably be much less since MS is stronger here.

If GTA4 turns out to be good, I may even buy a 360 (Premium probably). The only problem is that I don't like to pay 60 € for games.

 You can import certain 360 games from the US, where you can probably get them cheaper. I could get them for £30 as opposed to the usual £40 with internet discounts
