That's also a possibility. But since you'd know more about it than me, it's the more likely one

Like I've said three or four times already I didn't try to talk him out of it. I told him what the average score(you got a problem with a review scores, oh well) and I told him it may be good to do some research first, gameplay or read different reviews. And my collectors edition of The Order 1886 is comming today so its not like I hate The Order.
I don`t usually go to GSs much after I found one of the 3DS games I bought was missing the Club Ninten code and it was the one I needed to get eshop credit for a promotion ( I was a bit sour and the store was an out of town one), but there was one time where they did me a favor. I was buying a used game. The copy I brought was complete with booklet, codes, and other stuff. The cashier was going to give me another one without that stuff, and I imposed, asking if I could take that stuff too. The cashier seemed reluctant, but they gave it to me. I`m really big on having things be complete when I buy things, and they didn`t have to do that, but they did! So one point to that store...!
I guess you get your bad days and good days. (I had a cashier say "Oh, you have a Wii U???" when I got a Wii U game, haha!)

The Gamestop near my house (like 3 min away) is actually pretty good. They don't seem to push one console over another and typically are knowable about the most of the games. In fact back in June when I was getting tired of FF14 I went in there looking for a game to buy but there had not been any releases in a while. The manager recommended Wolfenstein:TNO, I asked him why and he basically said its the best campaign for an FPS game in years.... So I bit, and was very glad I did, I had a blast with it, but probably would have ignored it had he not spoken up. (not to mention they had it on sale for 39.99, made it easier to bite).

add me, the more the merrier.
I don't buy from Gamestop anymore because their 3ds and Wii U selection sucks (at least in the two stores nearest me.) I mean seriously, they barely had one column for Wii U and like one and a half for the 3ds (which btw they were both crammed in the corner of the store), meanwhile PS4 and X1 are sitting pretty with like three columns each right where it's easily accessible.
Oh and when I did buy a game there they gave me the display case because they said it was the only one they had, idk that just bugged me a little and discouraged me from wanting to buy from them again. I like getting my new games sealed and unopened and with them I don't know what I'm going to get until I'm at the register and it's a real hassle going out of my way to go find another store just for one game.

Out of all the EB games I have been to, there has only been one where an employee has come up to me and recommended a Nintendo product (Wind Waker HD) and spoke highly of how Nintendo handles remasters/remakes.
Everywhere else I only have heard recommendations for other products.

It's not about review scores. I'm just saying, you never know. Maybe the kid would've loved the game. I work at a restaurant and frequently recommend things all the time that people think they wouldn't like, like pasta with a poached egg on it. It's not the dish everyone loves, but it's still good. Some people go into it thinking it doesn't sound good, and I'm like, just trust me it's amazing, and then they love it.
I dunno man, if somebody at the table was like, "don't get that! egg on pasta??!?" I would've laughed and been like haha i know it sounds a little weird, but it's really good, and inside I would've thought, why don't you shut the fuck up.
You ordered a near 100$ version of the game, and talked someone out of a sale, presumably because he should be wary of review scores....the very review scores that you yourself do not seem to be disturbed by.

A pretty girl intimidating a socially awkward kid isn't a fantasy, hell it happens with me, but obviously on a different level. Supposedly I have a certain air about me, a friend of mine described it as an 'I will rape your goddam corpse if you bother me right now' aura.
Not being American, ive only had the opportunity to go in one once in North Carolina and other than being a bit dark, seemed fine to me, was only 1 guy seemed friendly enough.

Socially awkward kids can also say weird and impulsive things to someone they're sttracted to, but I used to believe that it rarely happens if they want to impress someone on the Internet because they usually have time to collects their thoughts before they type.
