the workers know what they are doing, they are very friendly, they talk to me about gaming news.
Every console gets equal amounts of space(well xbox one and ps4 sections are a a shelf or two bigger).
They are very equalization in terms of posters

That's because you're, apparently, a moderately attractive female and no guy that's worked at a gamestop has ever had even an ounce of game in their lives.  You'd probably be lucky to even get half a second of eye contact from a dude as you're checking out before he turns his gaze down sheepishly, blushing as he asks if you wanted to make any preorders under his breath, let alone go for the hard sell.  It takes the cold confidence of a sociopath to look someone in the face and say some shit like, "Oh, I think you'll really enjoy the subtle nuances of Ride to Hell: Retribution."

that's some weird fantasies you got there lol

He has a point :p. It's probably harder for them to recommend games and bother you because youre attractive

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

Nope. It's just that I don't have a crappy Gamestop in my area so I've never had a problem. Pretty simple

My experiences have been hit or miss as well. The only times I have bought new and gotten a sealed copy in their store was with pre-orders. Any other time I have bought "new" in there they use the case from the shelf and give me an opened game. That said I always check the disk and at worst it has finger prints on it.

The most annoyed I have been with them was when pre-ordering multi-plats for the Wii U. Two out of three times the same clerk was a douche about it. With comments like "have fun playing alone" for Ghosts. I wouldn't mind if the dude was trying to look out for me and said something to the affect of "you do know if you buy this on another system there will likely be more people to play with on PS3 or 360" but he was trying to make fun of me for supporting the U. Kids can be dumb so I let it go.

My home GameStop is in a pretty nice area, and it too is quite nice. Employees are good, always ask if I need help finding something, but never push me to buy something else.

I won't lie though; I've seen some pretty bad ones that look cramped and smell like sweaty dudes...

I probably would have called him a dumbass but that's just me. I also don't agree with harassing employees but if they make it their business to be a douche, then I'll make them apologize.

Ie just because you think a game isnt worth it, doesnt mean another person wouldnt like it.
ive had people try to talk me out of great games.
just mind your business next time.
I dont try to talk people out of an xbox1 just because i think its not worth it.just

That's probably the main problem with GameStop. The employees tell you their opinion. But it's the same problem with the entire gaming industry. Too many nerds who think they "know the truth" and believe that their opinion is fact. Pushy people who remind me of the creepy religious people on the street who believe their God is D god. Problem is, they all think the same. It's usually a prevalent issue with a demographic who lack respect. Like when I was a kid I would try to tell people that boy bands were shit. Now as an adult, you kind of just realize that it's not your thing.

in brief, if someone is 100% sure of anything that isn't factual, they are immature. Because to be 100% sure of a non fact based topic, means that you arrogantly say no to any alternative. It's in a nerd nature to hone in and obsess, therefore, they generally will be horrible for this very reason.

Far too often as well, I feel like nerd-types tend to try and make a connection by showing how great their tastes are, rather than trying to understand one another. And I do agree, it comes down to that obsession factor. They are so involved in something, and they believe their opinions are perfectly grounded, that they need to have everyone else be the same.

I just chalked it up to youthful arrogance or a manifestation of fanboyism.  Either way he wasn't worth my breath.

And what a sad place. The selection was terrible, games marked 'new' not in shrink wrap, and the shelves didn't have ends. I watched a kid grab a game only to have the 5 games closer to the edge fall to the ground and he got sniped at be a worker for dropping them(wtf). Also I purposely stood in there for 5mins doing nothing  and not one of the employees asked if I needed help. Then two employees were pushing The Order 1886 on this guy, hyping up the graphics and such and I steped in and said 'You going to tell him its averaging a 6.5 score, or any of its faults?' and I was asked to leave. Why do people shop at these places, besides parents who have no clue.  I know this may be an isolated subpar Gamestop but Il never step foot in one again. EDIT* I went in the store just to check it out, just burning time at the mall.

Interesting. I had some GS gift cards burning in my pocket, so I decided to cash them in for the Order. Polar opposite of your experience - walk in the door, and an employee basically rushes me to ask what I was looking for. I tell him 1886, and he gets this disgusted look on his face and says "you do know it's only 5 hours long, right?" I shrugged and said "so I've heard" and moved on. I stopped to look at some Amiibos and another employee asks me the same thing, with almost the exact same exchange. Even at the register, the two guys behind the desk were doing their best to dissuade me from the 5 hour game, as if that was gonna help sell copies or move those ludicrous $25 strategy guides. Last time I do business with them, though not because of this weird "please don't buy what we're selling" situation.
