good = mediocre, alright, nothing special.

LoL, another person attempting to redefine words, hilarious.

Its the truth, there is no must have games on the PS4 or Xbone yet. Its kinda sad actually.

Personal opinion, which I can respect.  But, just your opinion, doesn't speak for everyone.

The argument that reviewers are hating on everything is completely invalid. Knack wad absolutely atrocious.

If Knack is your defnition of an attrocious game, you've had a very sheltered gaming experience. You lucky bugger!

Hey, don't be so presumptuous. :0

I play a lot of games and I don't think anything apart from maybe destiny has disappointed me more than Knack. :/

Delicious, delicious games.

What exactly were you expecting out of Knack that it was such a disappointment :P

If there is one game that was harshly reviewed it was Knack, game was by no means a master piece but it was not nearly as bad as reviewers made it out to be. I feel like had it not been a launch title, it may have been seen in better light.

Looking back at the PS3/360, exactly what games were "must have" a year into their lifespan?

It wasn't a dig. I just wish that was the worst game I've ever played! :P

Try finding a decent Football (soccer) game on the Dreamcast for example. How about games like Fighting Force 2, Nightmare Creatures 2, Chef's Luv Shak, WWF Attitude, MTV Skateboarding etc. And that's just with Dreamcast haha.

Special mention for Spirit of Speed 1937. People have moaned about the games like The Crew calling them awful... this game was £39.99! Hell, it was so bad, Acclaim (hardly a publisher renouned for quality in 2000, ressurected a long defunct publishing label LJN, rather than put their own logo on the box.

Tell me the big differences. I played all those games and they run on the same engine respectively. I liked how you ignored the fact that MM is getting released again and you are trying to say its innovative? please. Sure they have their differences but at the end of the day they are operating on the same frame work with stuff added on it. Thats no more innovative than what COD does Assassin's Creed and just about any game out there. So either they dont innovate or most people do.

Metroid isnt that innovative becasue they just took a game that was 2d and turned into a FP adventure. There were already games like that prior to Metroid Prime. Now if you wanna say thats innovative for THAT series thats fair. But its not like Ninty exists in a vacuum

You haven't played them it seems.

MM:

- You relive the same 3 days over and over again. At the end of the third day, the moon comes crashing down.

- Focus on masks, especially transformation masks.

- Focus on sidequests with a strict time schedule. Only 4 dungeons.

SM3DW:

- Captain Toad levels

- Cat suit and cherry power ups.

- 4 player multiplayer. Not something you find very often in a 3D platformer. Can you even find me one 3D platformer that does?

- Doesn't run on the same engine as SM3DL at all.

- Bigger and more expansive levels.

- Introduces a lot of new gameplay elements with each new level. In one level for example you're playing with shadows. In another level you're fighting Cat Bowser while climbing a huge tower. Or you're playing through a Mario Kart inspired level.

And please, tell me one game that plays like the Prime series.

I own both OOT and MM none of those things make it innovative because they dont change the overall gameplay too much. We had a time travel element in the game prior to that nothing new. I dont know how LESS dugeons is innovative. LOL are you kidding. focus on masks. So what? you gonna tell me that there was NEVER a game prior to that where the character transformed? Hell they did that in Kid Chameleon YEARS ago and thats just one game of the top of my head

Captain toad levels ok because no game had ever done anything like that before.

Ratchet and Clank all 4 one did that already. This only shows me you really dont know what you are talking about.

Any FP game ever made plays like PRime because Prime is a FP game.

I'm still waiting for you to show me where Ninty is doing something that hasnt been done before by anyone cause that would be innovative

oh please, sales says otherwise

Sales doesn't mean the games are good.

then who says what games are good? You? please. If you dont like them fine but they are your opinion and in no way fact, you are in the minority THAT is a fact.

Lmao @ bolded.

And Ratchet & Clank is not a platformer. People automatically call any game with cartoony graphics a platformer these days.

Having less dungeons isn't innovative, but having the main focus of the game being time based sidequests IS. Tell me one single game where you relive the same 3 days over and over again (or any other set period of time.). Or a game based around sidequests with exact time schedules. The time travel between OoT and MM is quite a different experience. Anyone who played those games will tell you that.

Only fanboys in denial would say such things. Nothing stands out at this time on the PS4, most of mediocre games and some remastered, THAT is a fact. Nothing like the PS3 which had Uncharted or the 360  which had Gears of War. This gen probably has the worst start in history of gaming.
