I'm seeing people saying this on this thread and my brain gets more damaged every time I read it. I don't understand where people are taking that conclusion from. PS4 has stable framrate, topnotch graphics, no screen tearing, etc compared to early PS3 bad ports and exclusives. Seriously...

Please don't excuse Sony for being slow. That's pathetic. Yes, they can make great tech, but throughout most of the product's they push, they seem to always lag on the software optimization, customization, and overall experience. Hell they are guilty of dropping support on products they release one or two years earlier. Now, they don't do this as evidently in the PlayStation brand because of how vocal the gaming community is, but that does not give them a pass on how slow it takes them to get their shit together. (Software wise)

They evidently have not learned to stop pushing their proprietary crap on the consumer when their is a cheaper and probably better option on the market. Instead of developing a more costly memory card, why not invest on better programers to create a better entertainment experience from the start. Programmers that will fully take advantage of the great tech make quick improvements based on customer needs/wants.

If anyone thinks I'm just bashing Sony, please look into their past business practices in their Cellphone/Camera/TV markets. This Company needs vocal individuals to stop praising them, and start demanding more from them. I'm not saying not to give credit where credit is due. I love my FAT PS3 because it's been a Monster at reliability. I have at times left it on for days playing a game and it is still working as well as the first day I bought it. (I have changed the thermal Compound twice) That being said, I still wanted more from the PS3, but sadly I don't think those improvements will come anymore.

Sony is known for dropping support on their tech because they want you to buy their next hardware update, no firmware updates, and no listening to their early adopters because they dish out version 2 in one or two years after their initial release. Please people, don't give Sony slack, they will literally sit on their arse if one just praises them. Think of them as your teen/tween boy in the couch playing video games after graduating college/High School. You need to stop congratulating them for reaching a mile stone and start pushing them to strive for more!

It's funny, the title says "still better" which means "now" and people try to 'defend' PS4 saying to compare it to PS3 at early days.

I think what the OP meant was that PS4 should have better media features right now as PS3 already has it, i.e. Sony already know how to implement it.

He might have a point though since most PS4 games were also on PS3. Don't try to deny its supremacy.

People are missing the point. We arent comparing ps4 now to ps3 in 2007. We are comparing ps4 to ps3 NOW..As we should do because why would they make there new console worse than.the one.before it? It should be teleased with all its apps in place and abkevto read films off a flipping harddrive its ridiculous

i just want the PS4 to be able to read External HDD and to have video playback and wallpapers just like my PS3, those are the only functions that i would like to see back.

I agree. Both the XB1 and the PS4 should have started out with all of the features of last Gen plus a few new ones. The fact that it took basically a year for most of them to get to the next Gen is just pathetic.
