You liked Sunset Overdrive, I loved DG:Inquisition. Yet if I look over my collection from the last gen, I could say really I only really liked 1 game per year, even if I got more. Infact, don't think I bought a new game in 2013 at all, just played games I already owned.

Speak for yourself: my Wii U selection has put a few names in my top 50 games already, Smash was great, 3D World was sublime, 3DS has loaded me up with a lot of goodness so far. 2014 was a very slow year until the holidays, but 2015 looks more consistent.

Certainly has a different feel from last gen, but that's always the case. We all get older, our relationship with gaming changes on an individual level.

The first year or two of the last generation were pretty awful imo too. It'll improve, it always does.

I know what you mean, but The Order reviews have really disappointed me because I was so hyped for the game.

1st of all show me how PC has any better games? Why not including PC there too instead blaming consoles all the time. Alot of people do that now including eurogamer despite all systems sharing the same games now. Since a lot of people think PC is a valid alternative to ps4 and x1 why arent the same people like eurogamer not puting PC in their 8-Gen dissapoint articles?

PC has nothing exited for me. Blizzard is pretty much death now say bye bye to warcraft 4 hopes as they concentrate on their free to play games making even shooters now LOL.

And second, i enjoyed this generation so far on my PS4. I bought Knack and the Evil Within, play free to play games like War Thunder from a smaller studio, and beat the last of us and alien isolation which i borrowed from my brother. I am not disspointed of any games as of yet and i am hyped for bloodborne. I am owning my ps4 only since ~2 months and its okay

I'm enjoying it!

I'm been very happy with all my Wii U purchases thus far ( I do wish Nintendo's output was quicker but what can I do). As for the other two, I don't own them right now so I can't be disappointed in their offering. I usually prefer waiting until a console has a good number of games I know I'll enjoy before buying it. It's the best way to avoid being "disappointed".

Is he talking about PC? When people talk about generations, its usually about consoles.  And Blizzard has Overwatch coming which looks amazing

The 8th gen consoles could have waited until 2018 to release, the PS360 are capable enough to last a long time. The only console that needed a successor was the Wii, and even that system could have lasted a couple more years if Nintendo didn't have abandoned it so soon.
