Honestly, I thought Knack got a pretty unfair rating. Is it as good as some of your classic 3D Platformers, no but it wasn't horrible either. One of the few games I've gotten to play on PS4.

I also got knack and the game  isn't that bad. Its fun and relaxing but nothing special. Quite challenging on hard but very diable

A guy who before claimed on GAF that he had completed the game and it took him over 10 hours posted this:

"Reading several of the worst reviews they reflect what I expected. Some reviewers still holding on to bad PR statements and using them to fuel their desire for something to be worse than it actually is. The game is far from revolutionary but it is also not a bad game this is pretty pathetic, journalism at its worst.

Looking at the scores of more recent games and then looking at the score the Order received just confirms these scores were set in stone quite a while ago."

This is exactly the attitude that is making its way over to this forum, sadly.

I'd say go for it. My second walkthrough of Vanquish took me three hours; but damn those were intense. The game is extremely short, but with a high replay value added to it.

gamer.nl gave it a 8 (dutch reviews surprisingly positive so far, they are usually much harsher than that).

+Beautifull, Audiovisual presentation with cinematographic elements. Awesome weapons. Great Story.
- Short lifespan, gameplay not very deep.

Wow. There's so much in that review that, looking from the other reviews makes me afraid. 

The title, for one. No way will this be Sony's next flagship IP. That should stay/go back to Ratchet & Clank.

The Order however does not have that same luxury.

 

I will play it and enjoy it, but this will become a game I play and then sell off. At least I get a cool statue out of the deal though.


Statues are awesome. Even how mediocre the game was, I always wanted the Carnby figurine that came with the special edition of Alone in The Dark.
