Yoshi's Island is one I think. Wasn't made by Nintendo anyway.

Yup.

There is no "Nintendo hate." Their GOTY in 2013 was A Link Between Worlds. They are just extremely critical. And also human. They don't hate Nintendo. Those just so happened to be isolated crappy reviews of Kirby and Donkey Kong.

Yeah, I get that. Just seems odd to say what a game is entirely deserving before it comes out. GS has the second lowest review score of Kirby (5/10) so far and the video I watched on Giant Bomb (4/10) actually made me think, 'man they suck at this game' and 'wow I want to buy this game right now' lol. Of course this is assumption it's Kirby that he/she is referring to.

I don't think they necessarily "hate" Nintendo but I do think they use them as their scapegoat for more clicks. They throw their smaller franchises like Kirby and DK under the bus, knowing they'll only upset 1 fanbase and get a ton of clicks from it. Then they give the huge games like Mario Kart, Bayonetta and Smash amazing scores because they can't piss people off too much.

That's just my take.


It certainly is not love, to give Rayman's Legends a 9 on PS3 & a 8 on Wii U, same reviewer & all, that's just trolling Gamespot's readers IMO!!!

That's one thing I don't understand at all. Rayman Legends was built for the Wii U and the Wii U alone. To give it a lesser score is nonsensical.

Most likely, that reviewer doesn't like kid games and shouldn't be writing reviews on that genre or on nintendo's stuff.
