Meta is 72 now.

I made the maths, and is strange, it should be on 74 now, but is 72...

Weighted average.

Yeah, the shittier your site the more weight it has.

72% average sounds about right. Those 4 and 5 out of tens are too stupid for words though. I bet they gave broken games like Unity at least a 7. 2D games are getting low scores this gen. No hope for Yoshi's Woolly World, even if it ends up being better than its predecessor.

"As great as that all may sound, the amiibo-like figurines you can collect in-game are even more disarmingly impressive. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've spent an inordinately long time studying them from every angle, wondering how HAL managed to make them look so tangible and believable. They're a great example of how most modern console games depict a "real world" in a way that ends up feeling artificial, while Kirby and the Rainbow Curse depicts an artificial world that feels very real."

Probably my favorite quote from the Destructoid review. That's definitely a review to check out, imo.

It's funny how the sites no one takes seriously gave Kirby the lowest scores!

I'm extremely amused by some of these reviews.

A 5/10 from GameSpot? They're complaining that it's too difficult and it takes time to get a hang of the controls because, god forbid, a game takes longer than 1 minute to learn. Aren't they the ones that docked points off of Triple Deluxe for being too easy? I guess I should've expected as much since they were the same ones to criticize Tropical Freeze for its difficulty.

And really Giant Bomb? A 4/10? And your critique is that it's "soulless"? From where I'm standing, it looks to be one of the most charming games of the year (next to Yoshi's Woolly World).

Regardless of the reviews, I'm still getting this game. I think it'll land in the high 70s or low 80s for its meta, depending on how the other big sites like IGN score it. This is typically how Kirby games are rated anyways; they're not exactly the types of games that wow reviewers because it's either they play it too safe (Return to Dreamland, Triple Deluxe) or they try something completely different and the reviewers get scared (Rainbow Curse).

@underline: I'm not saying it won't be charming I think it will but it takes more than bright colors and a Nintendo character to make it charming

@Bold: change a couple words and you have Sony exclusives like the Order in a nutshell and why I'll be buying the order lol.  I completely agree with your stance here.

Of course it takes more than that, but most Nintendo games have that feel. Especially Kirby games.

As for The Order, it looks to be a good game for what it does, just like Kirby is a good game for what it does. They're not for everyone, certainly, but I think they certainly pander to their audiences quite well.

I also think it's interesting to point out that the woman who wrote GameSpot's review actually tweeted that she had help from the guy that wrote Giant Bomb's review in order to complete the game. Hmmm, I wonder why they're the only two bad reviews?

70s still means a good game. Giant Bomb seems to be the obvious odd man out, they really were having none of it.

Only 9 reviews on metacritic so far. Plenty of time to move significantly either way

Just got a 10/10 from USgamer. Up to a 74 now.
