 I started at ign's forums....then went to gamespot's.  It was there I found out about VGChartz.  For the first six months here I used both, though I rarely posted there.  Since the Gerstmnan firing, though, I refuse to go there.  I figure whatever "news" that comes from there will end up on Joystiq, Kotaku or these forums.

FYI, Gamespot still has the most hits of any review site on the internet. I hate em, but I LOVE Brawl, and this is positive PR, and the best review news a game can get, period.

It'll get 5/5 from Xplay, and stroll in to a 9.5+ overall score. Win, probably just scored an overall top 10 game of all time spot with gamespots endorsement.

well if GS gives a 9.5 and all other reviewers come in close to that then its probably what it deserves .

But if they give it a six and all other reveiwers give a it a 9 then they are probably full of crap!

Just cause they fired one guy doesnt mean the rest of the reviewers are gonna give all games high scores that doent deserve it!

I'd recomend you actually read his sig before commenting on it. The Wii has more games above 90 as well.

i know it's cool now to rip on the tony hawk series, but installments 1-3 were a big deal. anyone who thinks they don't deserve high scores obviously wasn't around to view them within the context of which they were released. would i have given it a 10 back then? probably not. but it was a very noteable series early on and helped to shape many modern alternative sports titles.

in fact, of the 10 highest ranked th games of all time (on gamerankings), 9 of them represented installments 1-3 (cross console). all of them averaged 90% or higher. th: 2 for the DC and psx both averaged a 94.6%. th: 3 for the ps2, the '10' game is question, averaged 93.5%

so maybe you should take the time to not aimlessly rip on a site or a game before you know all the facts.
