Those character models are painful TT~TT
Also, if the protagonist silent? I really dislike silent protagonist. It's suppose to help you immerse yourself or something but it doesn't do jack for me.

what are you talking about? have you play WoW or some mmorpg? xenoblade is not an mmorpg but the online component is there, on an online game  all people creates avatars,  the reason for that is that your pj is there with a lot more people, you dont want to be a clon  of another guy, in this type of games  the game character  tells you the history and put you on the middle of action, but your character dont talk because it is only an avatar. (online games are all this way)

Oh i played plenty of MMORPGs, believe me. I can understand those not having voices but in a game that is heavily focused on a single story campaign, where the online element is secondary to the single player, it just feels off to have the main character be silent. Mass Effect does a great job of letting you customize your character but also letting him have a personality to go along with it (Granted, the customization options are piss poor and they are two very different games)

The online component in xenoblade is on a middle field between an mmorpg and an rpg with only a vs online game like mass efect, and yes you  say all in the bolded part, thats the reason  this game (xenoblade) don't have a generic online component, it is in fact a revolutionary way to aproach online, and there are no two different games one for the on line and one for the "campaign" like in mass efect or dragon age inquisition, so that's the reason is more near  the online from mmorpgs.

people here complain a lot, like, A LOT. And there's always some disguised hating posted as an "opinion"

Just an observation.

yep and almost all of them are ps fans. :)

PS, and Xb1 as well, have FFXV to look forward to. Obvious comparisons are and will continue to be made. XCX looks to have a more expansive and varied world but I think FFXV takes the cake in raw graphical power and battle system, in my opinion (I'm a big fan of fast paced, action RPGs), so I don't think it's a matter of jealousy.

People are just speaking their minds: the character models pale in comparison to the gorgeous enviroments and monster designs seen so far. EDIT: If I came into the thread, said "Wow those graphix are so PS2 era, characters look like shit. FFXV FTW" Then yeah, i'm being a pissy fanboy. Negative opinion/comments doesn't automatically mean some sort of bias.

Obviously FFXV has better graphics, but the depth of field and the draw distance are poor compared to xenoblade, not to mention that in xenoblade you can explore by air, in final fanatsy you are limited to a car and obviously the loading isnt as heavy as in xenoblade

No it doesn't, nothing close to the Xenoblade gif.

I didn't say it was to the same degree.  I'm just saying that it has one, and I would know because I saw it myself.

I just take the term boob slider a bit more literally. The character customization options are more about overall size of body and mass than adjusting things like that. I haven't created a character in a while, so maybe I missed it.

Yet Metroid and Zelda are some of the only franchises in the world to always score 90% on metacritic. The one time Samus talks is the one time it fails to hit 90%.

Oh and not to forget 3D Mario platformers.

I wasn't questioning overall quality at all, just my general dislike of silent protagonist. Metroid is a poor example with the last game, the other M, scoring 79 on metacritic...but that's none of my business.

Do we know for sure that airships are to be excluded? Last I heard, SE is still determining whether they will be used for actual travel, so I think it's a little early to say. Granted, I assume airships will be used as fast/quick travel and not actual, manual travel as with the car.

Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus. I can't say myself, I haven't played a metroid game since the SNES ones...on emulators.

My post was only 3 sentences long and you still didn't read it all?

Do you know what the most common complaint of Metroid: Other M is?

Metroid is the best example to counter your argument actually. People love silent protagonists.
