Those character models are painful TT~TT
Also, if the protagonist silent? I really dislike silent protagonist. It's suppose to help you immerse yourself or something but it doesn't do jack for me.

what are you talking about? have you play WoW or some mmorpg? xenoblade is not an mmorpg but the online component is there, on an online game  all people creates avatars,  the reason for that is that your pj is there with a lot more people, you dont want to be a clon  of another guy, in this type of games  the game character  tells you the history and put you on the middle of action, but your character dont talk because it is only an avatar. (online games are all this way)

Oh i played plenty of MMORPGs, believe me. I can understand those not having voices but in a game that is heavily focused on a single story campaign, where the online element is secondary to the single player, it just feels off to have the main character be silent. Mass Effect does a great job of letting you customize your character but also letting him have a personality to go along with it (Granted, the customization options are piss poor and they are two very different games)

The online component in xenoblade is on a middle field between an mmorpg and an rpg with only a vs online game like mass efect, and yes you  say all in the bolded part, thats the reason  this game (xenoblade) don't have a generic online component, it is in fact a revolutionary way to aproach online, and there are no two different games one for the on line and one for the "campaign" like in mass efect or dragon age inquisition, so that's the reason is more near  the online from mmorpgs.
