those are some convincing arguments Rol.
I shall go out and buy a Wii U right now after the thunder storm ends.

4. amiibo - These little figurines are awesome. They make it possible to deliver additional content to the games you already own and love. Gone are the days when the game you bought was the game you got. I bet it won't take too long now until other companies jump on the bandwagon and copy Nintendo's idea. |
When will the others
They can't copy Nintendo this time because they don't have characters and waifus as iconic as Nintendo's
:P
Sorry but no.
None of the points you claim work for me.
1) I have liked a small handfull of Nintendo exclusives over the last 3 consoles and thus far the Wii U has _one_ that hasn't even been released yet. I have been much better off spending my money on consoles with games I do want.
2) I don't participate in such things as like the Miiverse. I don't like 'hanging' out with my friends outside of actual in-game channels let alone total strangers.
3) The gamepad is an expensive failure of a controller. It just plain sucks and I have no use for such a thing even if it were cheap. I don't like taking my eyes off the primary screen and I have no need to use it as an alternative to my TV when my TV is in use because I'm the only one allowed to use my TV.
4) Tiny little toys for kids and adults w/ kids. No thanks.
5) This is your only possible good point, except imo I regularly run into Nintendo Zealots instead of just normal gamers who play games. Also too many kids. I don't like to interact with kinds. I'm too old for that crap.
Edit: Upon reading apparently this is a joke thread. Oh well. Still stands. Nintendo offers people like me nothing. I'm not anti-Nintendo per se, im anti-current-Nintendo products.
| RolStoppable said: It's often said that Nintendo-only gamers are missing out on a lot of great content due to their misguided loyalty to the Big N and close-minded perception of the gaming world that leaves them oblivious to what is going on outside of their comfort zone. But isn't the opposite just as true, that gamers who shun Nintendo systems are missing out on just as much, if not even more? After all, and without a shred of a doubt, Nintendo makes the best games by far. So it's definitely not just Nintendo-only gamers who are doing themselves a disservice by ignoring Sony's first party, Microsoft's first party and third party titles like... um... sorry, I am drawing a blank at the moment because I honestly can't think of anything that is actually good. Maybe Quantum Break's unannounced PS4 game can convince me. Anyway, here are five excellent reasons why you are seriously missing out if you don't play Nintendo systems: 1. Exclusive third party games that are truly exclusive - You know what I am refering to. Especially Microsoft has developed a habit of stretching the definition of exclusivity to a point where it doesn't mean anything anymore and we soon have to call such a game an exclusive exclusive exclusive in list wars. If you don't own a Nintendo system, you are missing out on gems like ZombiU and Sonic Boom, and that's definitely not because the companies who made those games respect the audience of other systems too much to port these games over. 2. Miiverse - This is a great place to hang out. Millions of gamers from around the world share their gaming experiences, ask for help if they got stuck or draw awesome pictures. You know the feeling when there isn't any new game coming out for two to three months, which is the norm in the video game industry, but thanks to Miiverse you can now use your gaming machine for something other than replaying Super Mario 3D World for the 17th time. 3. Gamepad - An excellent controller that has everything you could ask for. Now the annoying girlfriend who occupies the TV isn't a problem anymore, because you can switch to off-TV play with a simple button press. This thing is a godsend, and the only people you will find disagreeing with that are those who have never had and will never have a girlfriend. 4. amiibo - These little figurines are awesome. They make it possible to deliver additional content to the games you already own and love. Gone are the days when the game you bought was the game you got. I bet it won't take too long now until other companies jump on the bandwagon and copy Nintendo's idea. 5. A welcoming community, even outside of Miiverse - Nintendo fans are known to be nice, humble and tolerant. We don't talk down on those who don't share our preferences. We respect other people's opinions, even if they are clearly wrong (and they usually are). After all, it's a fact of life that not everyone can be as knowledgeable and great as us Nintendo fans. |
Great points! Even though idk about sonic boom and ZombiU be convincing games, but rather Bayonetta 2. Miiverse is a ton of fun even though i almost never go on there. E-shop is suprisingly a good web store, and 3DS games library is more then amazing and Wii U's library is looking preatty good aswell with Zelda Wii U and xenoblade chronicles X coming up. I dont own any other consoles except nintendo. I dont need to really, but i know i miss out on some few cool games i maybe be interested in, but mostly im a preatty big nintendo fan :)
Five reasons why you are seriously missing out if you only play Nintendo systems:
1. Sure you have to pay for online, but in return for a small fee you get wonderful online experiences like the Master Chief Collection!
2. Who could say no to annualized series from Ubisoft, Activision and EA; all their games are absolutely fantastic!
3. Commit to ideas that you enter into, like great VITA and Kinnect support!
4. Tons of iconic characters like Fat Princess and Jack of Blades.
5. Plenty of artistic diversity between realism, semi-realism, and 'realistic' anime forms.

In a way, it is! Very hard to find such a shitty game without 3rd party support.
So while it is an extremly flawed one, finding such a thing on there is still the equivalent of a gem
I like Miiverse.
It's the only social network that ends up being more of a forum by design.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

You know, saying Sonic Colors alone would've done you more justice than saying both of those titles
