Is that only me or the PS3 will actually beat the 360 next NPD?
PS3 started to rise on Amazon late January and it's doing it now in February when the 360 is nowhere near to be seem there. With a supposed gap of 5K between both (the 360 should be the one ahead as the 8% is green), it's very possible the PS3 is getting the lead in the next NPD.

And if the PS3 is starting to actually beat the 360 in the USA... yeah, no way the 360 is ahead of it in sales.
Maybe in shippments, definitely not in sales, if it can't beat it in USA it doesn't have a hope of doing that WW.

Yep.  Made a thread about that.  Using the shipped numbers, as well as reports of overshipping of the XBO, to estimate the PS3 is ahead by a few 100K.  Some on here wish to think the 360 is ahead by more than 1M.  Highly doubt it with sales this close in the US, 360's strongest region, during non-holiday months.  This is even closer than last year, when sales were only ~20K in 360's advantage.  Something completely erased by sales in Japan.  If the ~5K difference continues, the PS3 is going to  outsell it this year by quite a bit.  I mean one week of Japan's sales has a potential of completely erasing the 360's gap in the US for the entire month.

And it seems the PS4 is slightly overtracked, while the XBO is overtracked by quite a bit more.

Well, people choose to see the things by the side they find it better. That's just how it is. At least the PS3 is hinting well enough the consistent between it sales and shippment numbers, so that's okay, I just hope Sony do a price cut by this E3. A new model would be awesome but seems more like a wish than reality to me, I would love to get a tiny PS3 as I got with the PS1 and PS2. My SuperSlim is comfortably small but I would love that to happen.

Confirmation Bias.

Yea, the PS3 is long overdue for a pricecut.  I would imagine a cut would come with the PS4's cut to $299/$349.  Hopefully a cut to $149 for the 12GB SKU and $199 for the 500GB SKU. Especially if the PS4 cuts to $299.  A 500GB PS3 for only $50 less is way too much to ask for.    And I'm sure the PS3 revisions are over.  2 is enough.

I would love a final Wii/PSTwo sized PSThree revision. I find it unlikely though as we would get leaks and FCC docs for revisions and so forth prior to it being released/announced. Sony would have to be confident they would sell another 15-20 million PS3s in order to make a revision worth it though.

Sony will only do it if they can make money off the machine (or at worse, break even). Current Lego 3 + Sly collection for $249 and Disney Infinity 12GB for $199 tells me that Sony can possibly drop at least $50 from each SKU comfortably.

I hope we get a $129-$149 PS3 core SKU and a $169-$199 500GB PS3. Ideally announced by E3 2015. Cut the PS4 price (with or without a slim version) starting in October for the big holiday quarter. So, sony would have a $299 PS4 and a $129-$149 PS3 SKU for the holidays. No need to drop the price on the vita, it's a dead product, get as much profit as you can on the machine before it completely dies out.

Vgc all wrong as expected, too bad we dont have npd europe,

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

So so numbers even for PS4 tbh. Did this January have the same number of weeks as last?

I think they should also drop the Vita.  At least to $179.  Could boost sales a little, and I'm sure Sony would still be making a profit off of it.  More customers also means more memory card and game purchases.

We have Gfk which is allegedly even more accurate than NPD. What we don't have is any leakers...

If my 75,000 prediction for 3DS are correct, Vita+TV is at ~36,000.
Not bad for Vita...

Well, February will be fucking Interesting, my prediction for now:
3DS: 375,000
PS4: 310,000
XBO: 225,000
Wii U: 84,000
Vita: impossibile to predict :/
