That's because there wasn't any real contender, unless they made Last Of Us remaster win again. Second Son may be good (I don't know, I haven't played it), but I doubt it was goty material.

My magical frying pan says that Zelda is going to win. I am pretty sure it's correct since I cooked in that thing for years and I never over/undercooked anything with it.

The votes paint a different picture to actual posts. Uncharted and Metal gear lead this thread in mentions, but Zelda wins in votes and Metal Gear is way behind.

I guess there's a bit of an "exclusive" mentality here.

I want Bloodborne to amaze everyone, MGSV, U4 and Zelda are the strongest adversaries.

It's been quite obvious for many years that there are way more Ninty fans on vgc than Sony and Ms fans or people who simply play video games without being fans of a certain company. They win every poll regardless of the question asked. Which is why I think looking at posts is better as people can at least explain why they think x game will win most GOTY awards (or whatever the topic is). 

With so many big games from well established franchises coming out this year, I don't see a clear winner this time, but I feel like MGSV has the best chance.
