I think if this ever hits WiiU with voice chat and native clan support, it'd easily hit 90+ meta

Well, I agree on the part of "the game should not have been"... :P

That's not too bad. About where I expected it to rest actually.

I looked up how the other Monster Hunter games did, and an 87 (if it maintains it) would be the highest of all the other Monster Hunter games on Metacritic. 

Sounds really good.

It's funny that the score was 6.5 and that's considered "Mediocre."  A 6.5, to me, is a game that's at least a little more than "mediocre."  Here's the funniest part of the review, though:

"The attack animations are all extremely slow, and there's no way to cancel them. What this means is that most of the time, attacks will miss because of the terrible camera, and then it takes a painfully long amount of time for the attack to be over so you can re-position yourself in a different direction, only to more than likely miss again. It's not just the attack animations either. Every time my character drank a potion, he felt the need to do a strongman pose for a few seconds that left me open for attack. I usually had to leave the area during the bigger fights in order to use items so that I wouldn't get attacked during the animations."

Can't wait for it to come out. I've been looking forward to this game since it was announced.
