A heads up, the New 3DS which has been available in Japan and other countries for a while does support Amiibo's. Smart move by Nintendo though, $3 billion for activision, they could see there is demand for these figures. |
To my knowledge, Smash 3DS doesn't get Amiibo support until later this month so even tho Japan/Australia have had New 3DS for a couple months not, they still haven't been able to use Amiibo. I could be wrong tho, I tried looking it up and couldn't find a conclusive answer.

Youre over analysing, the simple fact is, skylander and disney franchise figures are more universally popular to kids these days than nintendo figures.
Its been like that for a long time. |
No its not over analysing at all, the simple fact is, comparing 1 month of sales on a 9.2 million install base vs 12 months on a 1 billion+ install base is not logical in any way, shape or form.

This
Skylanders aren't cheap. If they wear cheaper, I would buy more. I'm not sure why companies don't understand this.
I guess they have 3 billion reasons, lol.
I thought they were on their way to $3 billion. Well, they released this info-graphic to say that they have already passed $3 billion:

Not being in a US elementary school helps

Aren't they on a serious decline though? I thought I read somewhere that like 200m+ were sold the year before.
