I think we're going to see the Wii - PS4 sales gap, launches aligned, increase greatly this year. Wii U already in the mid 40's, even though some refused to agree that it could get in real trouble during the summer lull, One is doing pretty well, especially compared to last year's corresponding week (which was around 60k).
3DS continuing its downwards spiral, the N3DS will postpone the decline for a few weeks but it will keep on going down yoy through 2015 and on a global scale.
Ah, post-holiday figures!

The real joke is ps3 is more than Wii U and Wii combined
I'm not sure how ps3 is above WiiU, not that I don't believe it can happen some weeks. I'm just basing this on that many stores are out of PS3 and most current models are non-replenishable. The Lego 250gb, the Harry potter 250gb, the destiny 500gb and the 12 gb will soon be replaced and stores are not receiving new shipments. I did a search for a customer and only 2 wal-marts in the state of MN showed any on-hands of PS3's. I know thats only company, but it still makes me question how high the ps3 is in America.
Well damn, the PS4 just fell short of being rounded up again ...
The PS5 Exists.

which is the primary reason i don't buy the xbox numbers. ms isn't into losing money for no good reason. if the price increase had no effect on sales then the price wouldn't have been re-reduced less than 2 weeks later. |
They re-reduced it as a loophole to keep it at $350, in the first place. Common sense dictated that they had no plans to ever bring the price back up to $400. But because they said $350 was only for the duration of the holidays, they had to raise it in order to be faithful to that. Then they can turn around and reduce the price again and it's not under the same contract/stipulation/promotion/whatever, so nobody can get mad at them or get them in trouble for false advertising.
I highly doubt they looked at weekly sales and said "hmmm....we sold roughly the same at $400". It was just a matter of them being able to go with the original strategy and keep it $350 for pretty much the whole time. Not to mention, many retailers were still selling for $329 or $350 after January 3rd.

I forget about online sometimes. But Wal-mart is giving a $40 gift card with a purchase of a WiiU this week, so next week should have a bump and be above ps3 again.
the xbox 360 is catching up to the wii in japan good

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
This generation of home console sales is basically version 2.0 of Gen 6.
