Waiting for it to come to handhelds for $20.

It's a disappointment that it took so long for it to reach 1m, but it's great that it did! I suspect that there were way too many platformers released in quite a short time frame that hampered its sale.

Great. This game is certaintly one of the best platformers out there. The soundtrack is also one of (if not the) best of all time.

I think VGC might be overtracking (as they tend to do with a lot of Nintendo stuff). Nintendo lists all million sellers in their financial statements, so if DKC: TF has sold through 1+ million it obviously should be past 1 million shipped and should be listed as such on the next Nintendo financial briefing. If it's not there, then this is another overtrack.

Donkey Kong Country Returns - 6.33 million

Retro Studios made the right call on which series to support
