The 360s performance in new markets is probably to thank for this.

South America being key?

The shipment numbers do not say much. Maybe stores were in need of more xb360 than ps3, that is all.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

Mooore than likely yes.

In 2012 Xbox 360 sold 2.93m in US holiday Q and shipped 5.9m, 50%~
In 2013 Xbox 360 sold 1.45m in US holiday Q and shipped 3.5m, 40%~
In 2012 Xbox 360 sold 650k in US holiday Q and shipped 2.1m~*, 30%~

Pretty sure I read countless times that this doesn't matter because that generation is over. Does it matter now it seems that xb360 is winning instead? Let's be honest here. Just for a change. Edit: We all know that hardware numbers matter because they affect the support that a console gets. At this point whether ps3 or xb360 have sold 85m or 86m will not change the support they get whatsoever. This is useful for nothing else other than bragging rights.

Why does any of this have to "matter" in order to be able to discuss it on a website about sales?

Really?

Nice one!!!! 360 is still selling!!!!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Nah... 360 is probabily at minimum 2.5m if not more.
So, we have more than 2:1 in 360 favour!

Pretty sure this comment isn't useful other than downplaying the 360's success.
