schools would get burned down in some uncivilised areas if the teachers would tell the kids that jesus is as real as the Care Bears..

Maybe the kids aren't the only ones that should be receiving proper education then... |
that sounds good in theorie, but it doesnt work, its a braincondition, if you educate those people they may lose their religion, but they belive in even more stupid things instead, like reptiloids, or that vaccinations make peopel autistic. some people just dont want to life in the real world because its hard to understand the real world where the most things arent black and white but grey...

Lets keep this away from religion if we could. Seems like this doesn't need to be here. And yes, the education system in America is flawed.

One, that isn't what this thread topic is about. Two, you have no proof to your claim, just like religious people have no proof that your opinion on how the universe came about is correct. You can't prove where the universe came from any more than a religious person can. Since it's off topic, lets keep away from it. If you really want to discuss your opinion then make your own thread, and be sure that you give valid reasons as to why you think that, and have a healthy debate about it in the appropriate place. Thank you.

It is a fact that The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings is fiction. The author didn't create it saying it was real. The author created these works as fiction. Religious documents are a different matter.

Then you didn't read the Bible. I'm not solely talking about the Bible. I am talking about any religious documentation. Either way, you're derailing the thread for no reason now.

Don''t mock stupidity. Stupidity will triumph over terrorism (but be cautious about stupid terrorism) and magic!
