Forums - Gaming - I bet that XB1 will reach 20 million before ps4 reaches 35 million

It'd be more of a close race if you said, "I bet Xbox One will reach 20 million consoles sold before the PS4 reaches 30 million consoles sold." Or even 29 or 28 million. This bet is coming after Xbox One had two good months of sales. Right now it seems like a no-brainer that Microsoft can sell 9-10 million Xbox One consoles before Sony sells 15-16 million PS4 consoles.

Ehhh both will happen "closely", probably in the same month (30 days, not same calendar month), with the X1 reaching 20M a bit earlier.

It depends on how much hardware games like BloodBorne and The Order will push, and if Sony drops the price before the holidays. MS keeping the price point at $350 will also be a factor in how many more units they can keep selling. It wouldn't surprise me. What I'm most curious about is which will sell more between UC4 and Halo 5

C'mon guys, at least put some thought into your bets. x1 can do 9m this year alone, but 18m seems like the max for ps4.
How bout this instead:

PS4 will hit 26m before xb1 hits 13m

For the sake of numbers, that means ps4 will sell 7.4m faster than x1 sells 2.9m

Now THAT is a good wager.

Yeah, that didn't make sense to me either.

OT: I can see that, though it's hard to pinpoint when either will happen. I expect the PS4 to end 2015 no lower than 35 million, though.

PS3 and PS2 Are increase by 30% the 2 year, so, probabily that Even PS4 it will... 18.6m Seems ok.

XBOX console are really Small increase 2 year...XBOX +4% and XB360 ×11%.

Probabily that XBO will have +5% this year, so: 7.6m.

(And not 8.4m, because is overtracked this year and not have sold more than 7.2m)

What do you know that I don;t?

How do you know that the PS4 will increase sales in 2015 at all?  The sales rate for 2014 was phenominal.  The chances are higher that it will keep its sales pace in 2015 than it is that it will increase it significantly.

As far as the XB1 goes, sales in the last 4 months(not specifically Nov 15-Dec30) of 2014 were a lot more indicative of what to expect in 2015.  The dropping of Kinect and the newer price point were already factored in.  

I think it is more LOL that you think otherwise.
