The price should be less than $150 by now to have a better undestanding of its legs. Without a cut, it would be impossible to surpass it. It doesnt matter, ps4 is what ps3 should have been and it will sell better than Wii.
Will PS3 beat the Wii? | |||

Exactly, which i find funny because WiiU/Vita despite being labed as failures (with its tiny userbase) is alot more successful than ps3 (which sold amazingly well) when you actually think about it :0
UPDATE 07 / 5 / 15
PS3 ship 400,000 versus 80,000 Wii, gap decrease by 320,000.
LT, PS3 still in third place
Wii: 101,520,000
XB360: 87,400,000
PS3: 86,300,000
No, but I can see it getting in the low 90s(million) but a good price cut is needed. It should have had a decent $100 price cut a year ago but profit is more important than sales(especially in Sony's case).

By Microsoft shipment, easy. XB360 is massive undertracked in this site, not only is above PS3 lifetime in shipment, but also look the last Quarter:
Q3: 2,100,000 XB360 VS 1,100,000 PS3 (XB360 outsold PS3 by 2:1)
Q4: 500,000 XB360 VS 400,000 PS3
Do you remember my thread?

Is there no doubt that the Wii U will sell 20m+ also?

Playstation console = long life
Nintendo console = short life
When the PS2 and PS3 launched, the PS1 and PS2, respectively, still sold well and gradually declined. However, this isn't the case for the PS3. After the PS4 launched, PS3 sales sharply declined largely thanks to its still high pricetag. Sony will likely make one more pricecut for the PS3, but that won't be enough for it to eclipse 100m sales. At best, it'll hit the mid-90s.
