I really didnt expect both smash bros, mario kart 8 or pokemon to sell that much this fast so they exceeded my expectations
Nice Smash Bros. numbers, and Mario Kart 8 has an insane attach rate, and will be one of the 2 best selling Wii U games (perhaps behind New Super Mario Bros. U???)....perfect. 
3DS hardware down quite a bit, thanks to it peaking a while ago. Let me guess the excuses: the drops in numbers are because of the New 3DS not releasing yet in other parts of the world........as if the general public even knew it existed during the holidays.
So, Wii U not so "overtrackz" after all...
A shame about 3DS, that decline will worry Nintendo far more than Wii U's modest sales. Wii U is on track, I think it'll manage an extra 200k in shipments this quarter compared to last year.

This is about as expected from Nintendo. Some good news and some bad news. Wii U tracked about right and the 3DS quite heavily overtracked. This was pretty predictable, so I might even go so far as to say this is "good" news!

Whoever wrote the numbers on NeoGaf got it wrong concerning the Net Income, it isn't 45.215¥ billion yen, it's 59.515 million yen (59,5 Billion yen), as can be seen on the 1st page on the top right in the Net Income column.
Then it is clearly stated on page 3 in 1. Consolidated Operating Results, at the end of the paragraph: "operating income was 31.6 billion yen. As a result of exchange gains totaling 51.0 billion yen due to depreciation of the yen at the end of this period compared with the one at the end of the last fiscal year, ordinary income was 92.3 billion yen and net income was 59.5 billion yen"
On page 5, in the 5. Consolidated Statements of Income table, you can see on the bottom right the Net Income, again 59.515 million yen (59,5 billion yen).
I don't know where he gets his 45.215 billion yen figure, maybe someone in here can see something I don't, but to my understanding, Nintendo made a Net Income of 59.5 billion yen, which makes 508 million dollars, not too shabby
