Well that sucks. Even if the doctors prognosis is dire right now it doesnt mean he has to be absolutely right, I know thats not really gaming but Kinect/some Move games would still be possible. And PC which is a very very good alternative: Left hand mouse right hand keyboard. Worst case scenario, you have to become left handed.

Shit sorry to hear that. Though you may still make a full recovery - I knew someone who almost sliced his thumb off (almost the entire length of the adductor polis, the webby bit) but managed to make a full recovery after being told he may never use his thumb again. Good luck.

The thing is to remain positive and rather than focus on what you can't do, focus on what you can and enjoy that. If you do, you'll be just fine.
