Forums - Sales - Xbox Undertracked!!

While  agree with you that the Xbox 360 is undertracked, I don't think it is undertracked to the extent that you claim. 3.3 million on shelves is quite high, but factor in the channel stuffing we've heard about for the XBO, and I see the XBO having ~1.7 million of those. That leaves 1.6 million on shelves for the 360, which obviously is too high, the on shelves number might be closer to 0.6-0.7m which gives us an extra 0.9-1 million sold through, compared to what VGC shows.

Why will the Ps4 win the next NPD if the Xbone has exactly the same deal that in December ? Xbox One won December there's no reason to lost January. The price is the same and the two games are the same.

Yes The Ps4 has TLOU in January but in December Ps4 had better deals than now and it lost.

You are in for a rude awakening, so far all signs point to things going back to normal, i.e. Ps4 on top even in the US, you may see some bumps when some retailers want to get rid of excess inventory of the MS machine (like amazone after the price went back up to 400 early january) now most people who wanted in on the xb1 got it this holiday, maybe you'll see another few months next where it is competitive sales wise, but I don't see how or why it would ever dominate anywhere given whats coming up for ps4 in the next 12 months and beyond (given the hardware's inherent benefits too).

You're taking the bait. Checking his previous posts its obvious he knows Xbox One is not "dominating".

No no no https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lP1Xk2UcQpY

the Xone is dominating ! Why would the Ps4 win january NPD if the Xone is cheaper, in his homeland and with two games ?

There's not even a new Ps4 game available in January

It's like a man with a wood stick (Ps4) fighting against a man with a nuclear weapon (Xone). The XO can't lose January it would be just humiliating. You can't with so many advantages.

Alright, i think you've carried this far enough.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

The fact of the matter is that there are no facts in this matter. There is a lot of speculation. Everyone gets cake.

The idea in this thread that there are more than 1 million total consoles between the XB1 &360 on the store shelves is a little numerous. Most stores have eliminated overstock of items unless they are selling in large quantities. Even then, they only keep a few days of stock on hand. Because, keeping stock on hand cost them $$$ every day. Sure, mom and pop stores may do differently, but they are few and far between in total units sold or stocked.

It is near the end of the end....

It's entirely possible for there to be a lot of overstock in other countries because of either overestimating how much people would buy or it's just not selling.

Undertrack? maybe, no real numbers given so it can be.

Ahead of the ps3? probably not. the 360 sold only better on holidays but stilll got creamed on the rest of the year, and the ps3 sold better all over the world not just the US and UK, we have no real numbers but the sales pattern favours the ps3.

The ps3 dying quicker? no way. the 360 lost support years ago and most people know it. The ps3 still has some games coming, while still having the better library. The 360 will still sell ok in the US, but the ps3 still sell ok all over the world. The is no way I see the numbers the op propoused of the final LTS of the 360, not even 90m.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

All numbers here are guesses and estimates. The number of shipped Xbone is still unknown and it is at best a guess by the topic author. Xbone could have shipped 3.8 or 4.0 Million, and that would make X360 numbers under tracking a less significant number.

I would hold my judgment until I see MS next Q shipment numbers to see if MS over shipped in last Q or not.
